Dr. Yarbro performed a tummy tuck with muscle repair almost two years ago on me. After the birth of four children over a period of nine years, I had alot of hanging skin and a very wide muscle separation. Not only did I not like the way it looked, I also had a lot of lower back pain due to the absence of muscle tone. After a very courteous and professional examination, Dr. Yarbro detailed the surgery, expected recovery time, and told me what to expect as a realistic outcome. His office staff was very pleasant and always made me feel I could call with any questions or concerns regardless of how trivial they might seem. The surgery and recovery time went as planned. I was told to expect discomfort after surgery and there was some discomfort. However, appropriate post-op medications and follow-up visits made my post-op period very manageble. I felt the post-op support from Dr. Yarbro and his staff was very professional and very caring. I have not regretted having this surgery for even one moment and have since then had an upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid) surgery done in his Nashville office and a breast reduction done by him. I feel that he is a very talented surgeon and his care and concern for me as a patient has been excellent.
Dr. Yarbro performed an upper and lower blepharoplasty on me in his Nashville office. I had sagging upper eyelids and my lower eyelids were dark and hollow. Dr. Yarbro examined me and suggested that we could do this in his Nashville office by giving me a pre-op prescription of Hydrocodone and valium to be taken one hour before surgery. I was very alert during the surgery in the same way that you are awake when you go to the dentist. The meds removed any anxiety I would have most definitely had without them. I was alert and talkative throughout the surgery. Local anesthetic injections were given (but remember I had no anxiety so there was no discomfort). The surgery went as predicted at my pre-op appointment with no post operative problems. I relaxed for forty eight hours with ice packs on my eyes and on the third day I was even able to go to my daughter's dance recital (with sunglasses on, of course). I am so pleased with my appearance and I feel that my refreshed eyes look as young as I feel on the inside.
